2023-24 Curriculum:

PROPEL activities will occur approximately 2-3 times per month and typically take 3-5 hrs per event, including prep time (occasionally longer, if giving a presentation, for example)

Fall Quarter

  • Literature Review Course -​  2nd or 3rd Thursdays of each month, 4pm-5pm
    • Literature Review 101s (review sessions) - 4th Thursday of each month (remote)
  • Build Your Research Community (second year scholars and PREP scholars only) - select Wednesdays 9-10am (Parnassus), 2-3pm (Mission Bay)
  • Graduate School Applications Panel -  September 28th, 9-11am (Mission Bay)
  • Personal Statement Workshop - October 19th, 3-5pm (Parnassus), October 20th, 2023, 3-5pm (Mission Bay)
  • NEW Applicaiton Workshops specifically for MD/PhD-Bound Scholars
    • Demystifying the AMCAS Application Process - September 25th, 9-10:30am (remote)
    • MSTP Application Panel - October 5th, 9-11am (Mission Bay)
    • MSTP Essay Writing Workshop (MD/PhD Essay and Significant Research Essay) - October 9th, 4-5:30pm (remote)
  • Secondary Mentor meetings (individually scheduled)

Winter Quarter

Spring Quarter
